Neurture

Safety & Clinical Boundaries

Neurture is built to support habit change and recovery skill practice with strong boundaries around content, privacy, and clinical risk.

What We Intentionally Avoid

  • No anonymous forums: clients are not exposed to unmoderated peer content feeds.
  • No open-ended AI therapy chat: we do not position free-form AI conversation as therapy for addiction or mental health treatment.

What We Prioritize Instead

  • Structured tools rooted in ACT, CBT, and mindfulness-based relapse prevention
  • Private, encrypted on-device storage for sensitive recovery content
  • Client-controlled sharing for therapy and provider conversations
  • Support that complements clinical care rather than replacing it

Clinical Scope & Crisis Boundary

Neurture is a self-help tool. It is not a replacement for emergency services, therapy, or medical care.

If someone is in crisis, call or text 988 in the U.S., or use local emergency resources. Additional options are available on our mental health resources page.
